Who this is for
whowritesthis.co.uk is a free information service for UK insurance professionals. It is provided by Atlian Limited. By using it you confirm you are an insurance broker, intermediary, insurer, MGA or someone working for one.
What it is, and isn't
The site lists insurers, MGAs and Lloyd's markets that are understood to write particular kinds of business, based on their published statements and on ratings left by brokers. It is general information to help you decide where to look. It is not advice, a recommendation, a quotation or an offer of insurance. Who Writes This does not advise on, arrange or place insurance and does not act as a broker or intermediary. Always confirm appetite, terms and availability with the market directly.
Accuracy
Market appetite changes without notice. We review the data regularly and welcome corrections at help@whowritesthis.co.uk, but we don't guarantee that any entry is complete, current or accurate, and we aren't liable for decisions made in reliance on it. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Ratings
Ratings must reflect your own, honest experience of placing business with a market. One account per person, one rating per market per year. We may remove ratings we believe are inaccurate, abusive, not from a broker, or left for a competitive or commercial motive. Insurer names are the trademarks of their owners and appear for identification only.
The Market Index
Index points come only from the public sources linked on the page, under the scheme shown there. Broker ratings left on this site are displayed separately and are never mixed into those points.
Acceptable use
Don't scrape, copy or republish the data, resell access, submit false ratings, or enter other people's personal data into the search box.
Changes
We may change or withdraw the service at any time. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
