Privacy
whowritesthis.co.uk is run by Atlian Limited (company number 16251177, registered office 4th Floor, Silverstream House, 45 Fitzroy Street, London W1T 6EB). Atlian Limited is the data controller for the personal data described here.
What we collect
- Searches. The risk descriptions you type. We ask you not to include client names or other personal details, and we don't need them.
- Your details when you unlock a list. Your name and work email address, together with the search you unlocked.
- Ratings. The market you rated, the options you picked and the email address of the account that left the rating.
- Insurer interest. An email address if you ask to be told when insurer pages open.
- Technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested). We don't run advertising trackers.
Why we use it
- To show you the markets that match your search and email you a copy of the list (performance of a contract with you).
- To publish broker ratings in aggregate, never with your name (legitimate interests: helping brokers choose markets).
- To improve the appetite data and the service (legitimate interests).
- To send you occasional updates about whowritesthis.co.uk or Atlian products for brokers. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.
Who sees it
Your name and email are never shown to other brokers or to insurers. Published ratings are anonymous and aggregated. We use service providers to host the site, store data and send email, under contracts that limit what they can do with it. We don't sell personal data.
How long we keep it
Account and rating data for as long as you use the service and up to two years after your last activity. Server logs for 90 days.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent where we rely on it. Email help@whowritesthis.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
We use your browser's local storage to remember that you've unlocked a list, so you don't have to enter your details twice. We don't set advertising or analytics cookies without asking first.
